.:. Prolouge- A New Beginning .:.

Clay was just waking up one morning just like any other except that it was his 10th birthday!!! The sun was shining in his face through the window in his bed room. Since he was now 10 years old, he was now eligable to be a Pokemon trainer! He lived in Takon Town, a very small town in the Vigontaro region with his mother. He had completely forgotten about his birthday, then his mother walked in, and said "Wake up, sleepy head! Did you forget?"
"Forget what, Ma?" Clay said.
"What do you mean forget what?" His mother continued "It's your 10th bithday, silly!"
Clay said "WHAT, I TOTALLY FORGOT!!!" He quickly ran outside in his pajamas toward Prof. Mahogany's lab. His mother darted out the door after him and said "You'd better come back here, mister! You havent even eaten breakfast!" Clay completely ignored her because of the sheer excitement of getting his first Pokemon and becoming a Pokemon trainer.

He ran up the hill to Prof. Mahogany's lab as fast as he could. When he finally got to the top of the hill, he saw his friend, Lonny. Clay and Lonny were born on the same day, so they have to get their first Pokemon that day, as well. Prof. Mahogany had two choices at the beginning: Cyndaquil and Piplup. Since Lonny got there first, he got to choose first, as well. He chose the Piplup. Lonny said to Clay "I chose this Piplup, isn't it awesome?!"
"I like Cyndaquil better, anyway" said Clay.
Lonny said "That Cyndaquil's a rogue! It's already burned Prof. Mahogany!"
Clay said "I don't care, I know I can tame it!"
"Yeah, right" said Lonny, sarcastically.

Clay ran in to claim his Cyndaquil and found Prof. Mahogany trying to wrestle it into it's cage. Prof. Mahogany was an old man around the age of 60. He knows just about everything there is to know about Pokemon. He was definately too old to try to fight with a Cyndaquil. Clay said "Prof. Mahogany, I'll take this off your hands." He grabbed the Cyndaquil, and immediately put him in his cage. "Thank you, old boy" said Prof. Mahogany as he was trying to recollect himself.
Clay said "That Cyndaquil sure is fiesty."
"I have to agree with you on that one, old boy" said Prof. Mahogany.
Clay said "Does it even have a Poke Ball?"
Prof. Mahogany said "Yes, but it refuses to go in it, I think it just doesn't want to behave."
"Yep" Clay said, agreeingly. "Where is it?" he continued.
"It's right here" Prof. Mahogany replied. He pulled a Poke Ball out of his pocket. Clay grabbed the Poke Ball, and held it like a true champ! He said "Cyndaquil, return!" The Cyndaquil just sat there, and ignored him. He repeated "Cyndaquil, return", only this time much louder. Cyndaquil still ignored him. He repeated it one last time "Cyndaquil, return!", but this time with a gentle, but firm tone. Cyndaquil finally returned to the Poke Ball! Prof. Mahogany said "You are truly talented if you can already get a Pokemon like that to obey you. I have faith in you, old boy!"

Clay walked outside, and Lonny was still out there, waiting on him. Lonny said "How about a battle? I know I can win against your Cyndaquil! Who couldn't?! HA-HA!"
Clay said "Bring it!"
Prof. Mahogany ran outside and said "This is madness!" Clay sent out his Cyndaquil, and Lonny sent out his Piplup. This was both Clay's and Lonny's first battle! The only move Cyndaquil knew was scratch. But, Piplp already knew bubble because Lonny had been training! Clay said "Cyndaquil, use scratch on Piplup!" Cyndaquil did, and it barely hurt Piplup. Then, Lonny said "Piplup use bubble!" It was a 1-hit-KO! Cyndaquil was down! Lonny said "I knew a chump like you could never beat a master like me!" Clay paid him $20 for prize money, and Lonny stormed off. Clay fell to his knees in disappointmet. Prof. Mahogany said "Don't let that make you feel bad. His Piplup was super-effective to your Cyndaquil! It's nothing that should make you feel bad."
Clay said "It matters to me", called back his Cyndaquil, and walked inside Prof. Mahogany's lab. He healed his Cyndaquil, and walked home with his head bowed in shame.
