It was 9:06 a.m., on a Sunday morning. It was Nick's 10th Birthday, he woke up with sun shinning in he's face. He said "Im finally 10 years old!!! I can get my first pokemon today". He quikly put on his colothes and started to run to Prof. Mac's lab. He lived in Grand Town, a very small town in the Kentaro region. Prof. Mac only had two Pokemon left at his lab, they were Squirtle and Treecko. Prof. Mac said "HaHa look who it is, Nick which Pokemon do you want?" "I want Squirtle" answered Nick. Prof. Mac said "Ok then here you go".

Nick ran toword the door saying "Thanks, bye!". When he was walking home, he walked by a trainer and the trainer said "How about a battle". Nick replied "Sure, lets go". What Nick didn't know is that the trainer was from Sinnoh and had 7 badges and had a level 46 Torterra. The battle begain, the trainer sent out Torterra and Nick sent out Squirtle. Squirtle was only level 5, so Squirtle didn't have any chance agest Torterra. Before Nick could even call a attact the trainer told Torterra to use Solerbeam, it knoked Squirtle out in a half second. Nick yelled "No, Squirtle, retrun!!!" "HAHAHA loser" said the trainer. Then the trainer walked away. Nick runed to Prof. Mac's lab to heal Squirtle. Then he began walking toward home thinking he was a complete failure.
