.:. Melee! Pokemon Scramble .:.

Pokemon Rumble is a WiiWare title that is not yet released in America, but is in Japan. It will be coming to America in the next few months. It sin't a traditional Pokemon game, because you take direct control of the Pokemon, and not the trainer. There are 150 Pokemon in all, but they aren't just the original 150 from Kanto. There are some from Kanto, and some from Sinnoh. The game was originally called "Melee! Pokemon Scramble" in Japan, but the name was changed in the U.S.

.:. Gameplay .:.

Like I said in the above paragraph, you take control of the Pokemon, not the trainer. It is sort of similar to the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. However, it is not turn-based. You can fight multiple Pokemon at a time. Every time you KO another Pokemon, you will most likely find a letter "P". However, sometimes, after you KO the Pokemon, they will fall to the ground, and you can run over to them to pick them up, and add them to your party! You can keep an unlimited number of Pokemon in your party, and that is REALLY handy when you get in a hard part of the game. You can just switch out Pokemon, and keep going. Each stage is divided up into about five parts. then, after you beat those parts, there is a boss battle at the end where there is a normal Pokemon that you have to fight, but, its GIGANTIC. You can play with 1-4 players. At the end of each level, you are given a grade that is depending on your strength. The grades include C, B, A, and S. S Being the best, C being the worst. At the beginning of each area, you are given three keys (they're like lives). You can use them to switch out Pokemon withut consequences. However when you switch, it takes some time. If a Pokemon attacks you while you are switching, a key breaks. If you lose all of your keys, you have to restart! When you do lose, the only consequence is that you have to restart the area. You dont lose any recruited Pokemon, or the P's you have collected. Below, there is some gameplay footage from the game for your viewing pleasure.

.:. Controls .:.

The controls are VERY simple. You hold the Wii Remote sideways to play (You can use the Game Cube controller, as well, but I'm not coering it). You press the 1 and 2 buttons to attack, and you use the directional pad to move your Pokemon.
